The dark forest green, polo style overcoat ( YY030 ) features a notch lapel in a modern, minimal approach. Designed as a sophisticated, transitional winter jacket, this piece shifts effortlessly from smart formal wear to high grade casual. The 580g Italian made 100% wool fabric allows for warm loft and structure, with a commanding drape that also makes structured layering over a blazer or bulky knit work without compromising the silhouette. Half canvas through the chest and lapel gives this overcoat a natural roll and loft retention; the natural shoulder further modernizes the cut by softening the jacket’s profile for a more comfortable fit. Coffee toned, genuine horn buttons create subtle contrast to the dark green wool. Signature horseshoe (turn back shaped) cuffs, for a hint of tailored tradition. One center back vent for stride ease and seat allowance without unnecessary flare.

Fabric & Performance
580g pure wool gives a substantial winter weight, yet it is far from compressible; it holds in warm air without being ‘squashy’, and the lines of body and lapel stay crisp through commute and multiple wearings. Finishing by Italian hands yields a fine lowfinish surface that will not pill and actually deepens and enriches the color in this deep green (neutral indoor light, cool daylight outdoor) when viewed under differing lighting. The added gram weight in the fabric helps with a vertical drape that flutters less in the wind. Wool is naturally breathable, and a well made garment mitigates the humidity of the internal microclimate from cold outside to hot in. The halfcanvas construction allows the upper front to move subtly over time, lengthening the life of the lapel roll (compared to fused) and lessening internal moisture buildup.
Fit & Alteration Guidance
Tailored to be worn over a suit jacket or mid-weight sweater, our shirts have room in the chest and upper arm to accommodate: measure for the shoulders and choose a size that lines up the shoulder seam without pinching to maintain the intended fall of the shoulder. The shirt body is designed to allow for some waist suppression with ease: if taken in too much the shirt will feel tight when worn with a jacket. Sleeve length will have some give to accommodate the horseshoe/turn back cuff, but like with any tailored sleeve, if you need to shorten them more than an inch it is best to do so from the sleeve head with the help of a tailor. We recommend going with the larger size if you plan to wear these shirts with bulkier winter suiting often and find yourself in between sizes.
Use Cases
· Business commute layering over suit or blazer
· Formal day / semi-formal winter events
· Smart casual: upscale dinners, gallery evenings, city travel
· Cold-weather outer shell for conferences and client visits
· Elevated weekend wear with fine gauge knit, denim or flannel trousers
Value & Construction Advantage
A half -canvas overcoat front offers increased structure longevity, as well as lapel lifespan, when compared to a fused overcoat front. The half-canvas overcoat front will also hold its shape better, and sit better on the chest, after years of wear. The heavy Italian wool is naturally more thermally regulating and has more drape authority, thereby eliminating the need for synthetic interlinings, while offering better cost-per-wear. The buttons are real horn and the sculpted horseshoe cuffs create a textural and visual richness that can’t be easily duplicated in factory production, which in turn helps to ensure lasting timelessness, as opposed to trend-cycle obsolescence. The center vent provides a happy medium of movement and visual minimalism, and can be a useful tool for workwear use.
Care
Hang after wearing: Hang your coat on a broad-shouldered hanger to maintain the shoulder shape and let out any steam from body heat. Hangers should have space in between them to allow air to pass freely and not to compress the wool. Use a soft clothing brush and dust lightly in a downward motion to remove any dust and environmental pollutants that can degrade the wool fibers over time. Steaming will take out any travel creases; make sure to use short bursts of steam to avoid over-saturating any seam areas. Dry clean only when necessary (read: visibly dirty or after a long period of time without wearing) to preserve the wool’s lanolin and original finish. Clean any small, isolated stains with a clean damp cloth and blot quickly (avoid scrubbing).
